- We are currently seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to expand our Eastern Baltimore, MD territory.

The Outside Sales Representative is a demanding role which requires significant planning and research to generate new business and increased market share.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
•Achieving or exceeding established sales and profit goals and assisting with forecasting plans for the following fiscal year.
•Assessing and maximizing the buying potential and profitability through creation of a sales strategy and action plan.
•Preparing itineraries, call logs, expense reports and updating of customer account information.
•Developing strong business relationships with inside sales representatives and branch managers through daily contact and communication.
•Promoting the Company’s name, product and services through networking by attending trade shows and metal association meetings.
Experience and Education:
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. College degree strongly preferred.
Experience: Previous outside or inside sales experience in the metals industry strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Candidates must be extremely personable, professional, self-motivated, resilient, possess a strong desire for personal growth, work independently, and effectively utilize time.
•Individual must also be capable of negotiating tactfully and profitably while representing the company and self in a professional manner.
•Must be able to safely operate a vehicle in various types of traffic and weather conditions.
•Available to work extended hours for customer entertainment and travel.

- We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager for our carbon sheet and plate division to join our purchasing team headquartered in Southington, CT.

A Senior Product Manager is fully accountable for developing, implementing and managing our carbon sheet and plate products and providing optimum sales and profits in alignment with the Company’s strategic business plan.
Responsibilities include:
•Developing and implementing a plan for the profitable acquisition, inventory and sale of carbon sheet & plate.
•Sourcing suppliers, negotiating purchasing contracts and maintaining proper inventory levels.
•Leveraging purchasing strategies by identifying a customer base to ensure consumption of product.
•Analyzing inventory positions and reordering points.
•Developing proposals and introducing new products and markets.
•Implementing pricing changes based on market conditions.
•Providing continuous updates to sales representatives and sales managers on product pricing and availability.
•Assisting marketing with the promotion and advertisement of products and services.
•Assisting with the training and development of product knowledge for purchasing and sales staff.
•Keeping current on product changes, mill production and industry trends and attending trade shows, mill tours, conferences and meetings.
•Visiting customers with outside sales and product managers.
Requirements:
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years progressive purchasing and sales experience or related areas of business. Travel: Overnight travel and daily business travel as required.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
A high level of judgment, discretion, initiative and ingenuity is necessary to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated and decisions may be based on conclusions for which there is little precedent.
