Yarde Metals Inc. was founded in 1976 by Craig Yarde, who started the business with $1,000 out of the basement of his home in Bristol, CT. Yarde partnered with his brother, Bruce Yarde the following year, moving the company into a small rented building . An 85,000 sq. foot production complex was built in 1986 to accommodate Yarde Metals' impressive growth in the early 80's.
