Q. What's the browser requirement?

A. As long as your browser supports Java-Script and have cookies enabled.

Q. How do I place an order online?

A. You can place an order online by searching for metal drop pieces in the Drop Zone.

  • 1. Click on the Drop Zone icon.
  • 2. Select a metal group & form to begin a search of available drops.
  • 3. The search engine will return available items.
  • 4. Select from list, add to cart & proceed to checkout.
  • 5. If you have an existing account with Yarde Metals and are logged on with Yarde Trax your will be billed to your account. If you do not have an account with Yarde Metals fill out the proper contact, shipping information and credit card information to purchase drops.

    Q. What is the Drop Zone?

    A. The Drop Zone is a continuously updated inventory of quality metal remnants.

    We offer these drops at no minimum purchase quantity, the lowest cost and ready for immediate shipment.

    Q. Do I need a user name & password to order from the Drop Zone?

    A. No.

    You can fill out the proper contact, shipping information and credit card information to purchase drops. Those with a Yarde Metals account can purchase drops with a credit card or sign on with their user name and password for company billing.

    Q. How can I get a user name and password for Yarde Trax?

    A. Please refer to How to become a Yarde Trax customer

    Q. How do I Request a quote?

    A. Go to the Request For Quote or Products page and select from the items listed.

    Choose quantities and add them to your shopping cart. Continue shopping or go to the contact form and fill out appropriate information. Click on Request Quote to email our Yarde Metals Internet salesman, who will respond as quickly as possible.

    Q. Can I order full lengths from your regular inventory online?

    A. No.

    At the present time Yarde Metals is not offering full length material online. However, we are developing our site to make our entire inventory available for purchase online soon.

    Q. How do I look up order status, order history, mill certs, invoices, BOL's & UPS orders?

    A. First, you will need a user name and password for our Yarde Trax,

    our online order information gathering and tracking system. Please call 800-444-9494 and ask for a Sales Support Specialist If you have a user name and password, login to Yarde Trax and click on the Yarde Trax/check order status icon. You will be asked to enter a specific purchase order or simply click all to bring up a list of your most recent orders. Click on links to view order status, mill certs, invoices, BOL's and UPS tracking information. Once the document is viewable in Acrobat Reader you can print it directly from your computer.

    Q. What's that 'cut in half' option?

    A. It's a UPS limit.

    Please refer to UPS web site Oversize Packages for detail. We offer to cut the long materials (up to 216in) in half free of charge if the total weight is less than 80 lbs.
